Cay Qel-Droma - Page 2

Rescued by his brother, Ulic, luckily that was the worst Cay endured. Later, Cay managed to fix a droid's mechanical arm to his shoulder to use as a prostethic. Master Arca thought it appropriate for Cay and his other apprentices to stay on Onderon to help with reconstructing the city. However, the Dark Side was not fully extinguished within the city, and many of its citizens worshiped the memory of Freedon Nadd, a Dark Lord of the Sith. These citizens instrumented a sort of Freedon Nadd uprising against the Jedi. Cay's Master, Arca Jeth, was imprisoned by the Dark Side energies Freedon Nadd had given the city's former King Ommin. It was Cay and his fellow Jedi who were able to infiltrate the King's lair and destroy him and his Dark Side energies, freeing Arca from his stasis.

Months later, when the Krath declared war on the Jedi, Cay remained on Onderon with Tott Doneeta and Master Arca to convert the ancient starship that brought Freedon Nadd to the planet into a Jedi outpost. Soon however, there was a calling for a great convocation of Jedi on Deneba, and Cay was one of the many Jedi who attended. During the meeting, the Jedi were attacked by war droids sent by the Krath. As the fighting progressed, Cay's master, Arca Jeth, was hit by a blast from one of the war droids and became one with the Force. Later, Cay and fellow Jedi traveled to the planet, Ossus, to the Great Jedi Library.

There Cay said goodbye to his brother, Ulic, who was intent on completing a mission to infiltrate the Krath, learn their secrets, and destroy it from the inside. In the time that follows, with no word from Ulic, Cay, Nomi Sunrider, and Tott Doneeta traveled to the Empress Teta System to try to contact Ulic. Attacked in Cinnagar in the Empress Teta System, Cay and his fellow Jedi resolved to return with many more Jedi Knights to cleanse the city, and rescue Ulic. During the attack, Cay, Nomi Sunrider, and Qrrl Toq made their way into the royal quarters and pleaded with Ulic to return with them, however, Cay's pleadings had no effect on Ulic as he resolved to stay and continue on his path.

Six months later, Cay was one of the Jedi who traveled to Coruscant to convnce the Galactic Senate to let the Jedi deal with the renegade Jedi terrorizing the star systems. As the Jedi arrived on Coruscant, they are attacked by Ulic and his fleet. Luckily, Cay and his fellow Jedi were able to corner Ulic and place him under arrest. At Ulic's trial, Cay spoke on Ulic's behalf so as to get the Senate to grant mercy on Ulic. When the chamber was attacked by Exar Kun, Cay was not able to prevent Ulic from leaving once more.
